Car Crash

For our end-of-the-trimester party, Nicole decided to make a car cake for the kids. She worked on it all day until nighttime. She baked the cake, made tons of frosting, researched how it was to be done...
Basically, hours and hours of work.

She was almost done and was going to put it in the freezer to harden it up a bit.....

Somehow, the cake slid right off the cookie sheet it was on and tumbled down to the kitchen floor, leaving streaks of green, white, and black frosting all down the refrigerator.

Poor poor car

We could've had a car trunk cake!! It's in pretty good shape...

Unfortunately, there were no survivors.

Jack snuck in and was caught eating the cake...sneaky little dude. He definitely doesn't mind the 5 second rule.
At least somebody got to enjoy it.

That's so sad and funny at the same time!!

My mom was a cake decorator and did many wedding cakes. We loaded one up in the car one time for a wedding that was about 45 minutes away. FIVE minutes from our house, one of the layers took a dive. We were both sick to our stomachs! There was no way to repair it, so she turned it to one side for pictures. We cut that cake faster than any other!!
