Down in the Bayou

We went downtown to El Centro the other day. While we were eating tacos, this lady sang and played the guitar for us...in English! I don't know if she knew what she was saying though because she was singing "when I was a little boy down in the bayou..." She had us cracking up...she had a pretty good accent though. :)

I love going downtown! It's so beautiful and there are always lots of people.
If you like to people-watch, you would love it too.
Nicole and I go and sit on a bench in el Centro and just watch people go by... It's interesting because one minute an old beggar is walking by, and the next, there's a chauffeur opening the door of a big black Suburban. It's funny to watch an obviously rich family walk by with the nanny running after their screaming kid...

Kids with spiky hair, tourists with their ugly sandals and backpacks, Germans that sound like they are saying "vooksenvaagsenvvvg" :)

...Shoe shiners...

...Pretty buildings...
