Anali's Visit

Anali came down and visited us a few weeks ago. We had a goooood time!! She was an easy guest to have around. Speaks Spanish, isn't scared of Mexico :P She also said early on the sitting down in a coffee shop and drinking coffee was something she enjoyed doing...which turned out to be a good thing! It rained constantly the last couple days she was here. We did fit in some "touristy" things but also got a chance to just sit back and relax.

In the Zocalo

We had lunch at Tacos Los Angeles...What do you think, Anali? :)

Sitting on the steps in front of the cathedral chatting

 Walking downtown

We walked through the gardens in the convention center...so pretty!

Shopping for souvenirs at the Parian

Later that night we were supposed to go on outreach...But it was raining -- and we were on foot! So we walked to a bakery down the street passing out flyers as we went and then talked to the lady at the bakery. Then we walked back and huddled in the car while eating our sweet bread :)

 LOL!

One of the days Anali was here, we went to Cholula. The chuch on top of the pyramid. Of course while we were there we just had to have some grasshoppers! Miss Anali was very brave and ate one!

Tasty :P

You can them them cooked in garlic, chile, plain salted...lots of options!
 Vendors...

There was a man playing a harp in the middle of the market...very cool!

Punkin found a friend in Anali...little bird loved all the attention!!

 On the bus!

Buying chicken for dinner...

Nicole made us apple chimichangas for breakfast one morning...so YUM!

 Anali grew horns!

Thank you, Anali for coming to visit us!!

Aahahahah at the radishes!!

I love the pictures of me trying the chapulines. My thoughts were something like this...

Picture #1: "Eww I can't believe I'm doing this"

Picture #2: "Here goes nothing"

Picture #3: "Oh, it wasn't that bad" lol

Thank you so much for having me!
Oh and I made some sweet chimichangas too, but I stuffed mine with a sweet cream cheese filling. Thank you Nicole for the idea, you'll be SUCH a good wife some day. LOL
