Rocio and the Shrimp

A little while back Sis. Rocio invited me over to her house for lunch. In my opinion, she is the best cook of all the ladies in my church so of course I said yes!!! Her food is definitely something to look forward to. The kids insisted upon coming to pick me up to walk me over. Whenever the people hear about us walking anywhere by ourselves they all gasp and warn us that we are going to get kidnapped. LOL. I was walking to some saints' house a while back and a random car passed by and as it did someone yelled out the window, "Someone is going to steal you!!" I don't know why this is always the classic reponse - it is just the cliche thing to say, I guess. Because it's not like it's ever actually happened. Haha. (Puebla is rated the top safest city in all of Mexico so there's a low probability that this is actually going to happen. It is just a joke.)
Walking with Sara and Choyo
We got to the house and I was ushered into sit at the dining room table. Rocio and I visited while she made tortillas and taught me Spanish slang - ha!

She fixed caldo de camaron - shrimp soup. Oh man, was it good!
Shwimp!!!!!
Afterwards the kids took me outside and I watched them chase around the ducks and chickens. Apparently the ducks knew who to fear - lol!
Every time I'm around these kids I learn something new. Choyo is all personality and jokes. He cracks me up!

Shwimmmmmmps!!!!
Ha! Crazy kids. They inspire me to greater heights of dare-devilishness. One day I'll grab a duck out of the lake like Choyo did.
