Before February ends and this post is totally late and irrelevant....
For Valentine's Day, Nicole and I threw a party for the pre-teen/young teenage girls in our church. I think Valentine's Day is such a cute holiday - decorating for it was quite fun.
Jerameel and Sara arrived first. They sat in the living room enraptured by these beautiful Spanish books we found at Costco the other day. (Yes, we have a Costco here in Puebla!)
One of me and Nicole's favorite drinks is a Shirley Temple, and since it went along with the pink and red theme, we decided to serve it for our girls. Of course this was new to them, but they very much enjoyed it!
In the middle of our party, Austin comes through the front door with his punching bag thrown over his shoulder, claiming he had to put it in his room. Very suspicious! I wonder who he was trying to impress...? ;)
For dinner, we made pizza! One pepperoni, one chicken barbecue (my favorite!)

Anahi and Mari made this heart-shaped pizza |
|
Sara and Jerameel made this amoeba-shaped pizza |
|
Popping em in the oven |
|
While we waited for the pizzas to bake, we played a round of Uno |
|
Eating, drinking our Shirley Temples, and enjoying each other's company |
|
Picking out a donut |

Happy girls :) |
